Group Activities for Adults in Hendersonville

Initially chartered in 1986, Elevate50 (formerly the Senior Citizens Center of Hendersonville)  began meeting once a month at a local retirement home. We rapidly grew and 1993 we attained a new 9,500 sq ft building; the bad news was that same year a large portion of the building was condemned. Many seniors, businesses, organizations, and individuals from the community banded together and donated money and time to clean up and revamp the center, and in October 1993, we reopened! Fast forward to October 2019, and thanks to the hard work of so many people, we got a facelift, changed our logo, and overhauled our website! 

Yes, but not really. We ask members to donate $2.00 weekly to participate in the programs and activities. However, we never turn anyone away. If someone is unable to donate, they are still welcome to participate because we know that being a part of something is vital to the health and well-being of everyone!

Elevate50 has continued to grow and currently receives about 47% of our funding from Federal, State, City, and County sources. We also receive about 10% of our funding from United Way of Sumner County. 43% of the funding raised through participant and organization contributions and community-based fundraising. So, we rely heavily on the good nature of our donors and the community of friends and supporters.
